Digital Learner Pathway

At BHBI, learning is made visible through clear progressions. Progressions are learning pathways that show the knowledge, skills and understandings students are developing in Reading, Writing and Mathematics. They help students understand where they are, what they are working towards, and what their next steps are.

The Digital Learner Pathway brings this learning together in one place. It is a BHBI app that connects with students’ Google Drive folders, allowing students and whānau to see progressions, goals, assessment information, evidence of learning, wider school involvement, and awards.

When students complete work that links to a progression, the app can connect that evidence to the relevant learning step. This means parents and caregivers can see not only a mark or grade, but also examples of the learning behind it. Subject pages for Reading, Writing, and Mathematics show current goals, progressions, and teacher updated assessment information, while the Awards section shows stars and Kauri awards.

Students can also generate a PDF summary of their Digital Learner Pathway. These summaries include clickable links so whānau can view the work, evidence and progress connected to their child’s learning.
