Gifted/Talented & Enrichment
All of our students engage in our ‘core’ curriculum programmes that we offer in classrooms and Technology/Arts classes. We then endeavour to allow students to follow their passions or try something new with our Gifted/Talented & Enrichment programmes aimed to assist all students to realise their full potential.
The Enrichment programme takes place in Block 4 each day 4 of our timetable in Terms 2 and 3. Our Gifted/Talented programme runs in Block 4 on all other days of the week. Some of our programmes run for just one term allowing students to give more than one programme a try. Our Gifted/Talented programme runs during block 4 on a Tuesday. All the programmes have their own interesting dynamics and elements and we believe all children will greatly benefit from the wide variety on offer.
Our students are encouraged to be part of a range of specialised groups offered at Blockhouse Bay Intermediate, which include:
- School Production / Variety Show
- Gifted & Talented Art Programmes
- Glee Choir
- Ukulele Group
- Concert Band / Orchestra
Regular performances such as the end of term performance evenings, end of term Star Awards, school assemblies as well as out in the community are held throughout the year, allowing students the opportunity to showcase their effort and progress.
